Another Bedazzled sim opens this weekend, Abraxas, home of their Second Life: Unreal project.

It’s quite an amazing build, very beautiful and detailed and with a fully functional deathmatch and capture-the-flag game built into it.

It suffers somewhat from lag created by bullets, but I hope they come up with some creative workarounds soon.

Foxy and the Bedazzled team have really outdone themselves with the Chinatown sim. It’s a beautiful build that uses all the tricks in the book to get the best out of Second Life.

Game SLave – SL Games Wiki

I’m currently building a wiki for all the games in Second Life. Called Game SLave, the idea will be that all the games you can play in Second Life will be indexed and described so you’re never short of having something to do in game. Being a wiki, any reader can come along and update, modify and add to the wiki.

So far it’s proving an interesting challenge, and not one without a few hiccups. Thus, if you know tikiwiki, please get in touch! I need a hand! You can mail Peter(at)tinypirate.com

Death of a friend

I found out today that a friend of mine from Datamonitor, my first job in the UK, died yesterday. Zach Kaiman was 28 and died of a cancer that he had been fighting for 3 years. He was a truly special friend to everyone he met. He had a dry sense of humor, fitted in with everyone, everywhere, was intelligent, worldly and above all, caring. He will be missed. I’ve created a group on flickr for people to share pictures and remember him.
